I help clients to develop curiosity and compassion about their inner lives and desires, guiding them towards healing, pleasure, and joy. I approach therapy as a collaboration in which we get to know your inner world together. As a mindfulness and body-centered psychotherapist, I help you to uncover the psychological, somatic, and sensory experiences that have shaped how you approach the world, providing opportunities for freedom, choice, transformation, and resolution.
I treat patients suffering from a wide array of mental health challenges including Depression, Anxiety, and chronic PTSD. One of my specialties is working with clients navigating the aftermath of childhood emotional trauma, abuse, and neglect, such as Adult Children of Alcoholics and adult children of parents with personality disorders.
I work with diverse clientele on issues arising from oppression and inequality. I welcome queer clients and people engaged in alternative relationship and sexual behaviors. My practice is neurodiversity aware and affirming.
Are you and your partner feeling stuck? Do you feel like you have the same fight over and over again? Has the intimacy and affection you once had fallen away, leaving conflict and distrust? Do you struggle with talking to your partner about what really matters? Are you thinking about breaking up? Did you used to have an exciting sexual relationship but now the spark is gone? Do you have sexual desires you are afraid to talk with your partner about? Does one of you always seem to want more sex than the other? Thinking about opening your relationship? Are you in polyamorous relationships but struggling to find balance and meet everyone’s needs?
Intimate relationships are a powerful crucible which can cement longstanding patterns or cultivate profound change. They create chances to learn about our deepest psychological patterns and transform ourselves in ways that not only enhance our relationships but our whole lives. I offer couple and relationship counseling that can help you understand and transform the patterns that are keeping you and your relationship partner(s) from connecting the way you want — emotionally, psychologically, and sexually.
Sexuality is a core component of our experience in the world. Finding a clinician who is capable of speaking comfortably and non judgmentally about sex can be difficult. People often ask what it means to be a sex therapist. I think of myself a therapist with extra training in talking about sex — it is integrated in all the therapy I do. And I have the expertise to address specific sexual challenges, including those resulting from organic, traumatic, and relational sources.
Holistic Sex Therapy approaches sexuality as a vital arena of life that shifts and changes based on its interplay with all other areas — our emotions, thoughts, sensations, beliefs, histories, experiences, and relationships. Together, my clients and I create an environment where it is safe to talk about sex. I work with individuals and relationship partners to understand and transform their obstacles to satisfying, connected sexual intimacy. I have extensive experience working with LGBTQ clients through all types of relationship and individual challenges. I assist clients curious about kink/BDSM and alternative relationship styles work through obstacles to exploration so they can embrace their desires and find ways to bring them to life. LGBTQ/Non-Mono/Kink welcoming.
I specialize in treating clients assigned female at birth who suffer from problems with sexual function and pain such as vulvodynia, vaginismus, and difficulty with arousal or achieving orgasm. As a trained trauma therapist and yoga teacher, I treasure the opportunity to help clients work through embodied trauma responses to find safety and autonomy in their bodies and sexual lives.
